The Armenian Foreign Ministry called the meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev effective. The Armenian Foreign Ministry announced this on July 10.

"The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan <... We discussed various aspects of the agenda of normalization of interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It was confirmed that the bilateral negotiations represent the most effective format for discussing all issues," the press release on the official website of the ministry said.

During the meeting, the politicians discussed the process of delimiting the border between the countries, and also agreed to establish relations.

Pashinyan and Aliyev thanked the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for organizing the bilateral meeting.

Earlier in the day, Aliev and Pashinyan exchanged views on key aspects of the peace agenda. According to the agency, Aliev and Pashinyan reached an understanding to continue negotiations in working groups and at higher levels.
