Every second Russian woman loses confidence due to unsuccessful makeup
47% of women are convinced that the whole set is important for confidence — both well-groomed appearance and status items. Almost the same number (45%) say that a beautiful face and well-groomed body are much more important than material attributes. SOKOLOV analysts have found out what exactly helps Russians feel more confident, what they are willing to spend on, and how quickly this feeling can be lost. Izvestia got acquainted with the results of the study on July 11.
"38% of Russians admit that it is expensive things that give them a special sense of confidence, and 20% believe that personal feelings are more important than the cost of things," the analysts noted.
For 71% of women, it is the right clothes that are the main confidence factor. Good physical shape (46%) and well-groomed face (45%) occupy the following positions. Awareness of their own achievements adds confidence to 41% of respondents. Jewelry is important for 28% of respondents, ahead of perfume (24%) and expensive gadgets (11%).
At the same time, every second Russian woman (50%) admits that she periodically does something to please others, 42% do it regularly. On a date, 49% of girls make sure to wear bright makeup or their favorite jewelry, 46% resort to this at work, and 43% even in everyday life.
For 47% of women, self—confidence is undermined by a bad hairstyle or makeup, for 33% — a harsh remark from others, and for 28% - lack of money. Only 12% of the respondents worry about a mistake in choosing jewelry or their absence.
At the same time, others most often pay attention to behavior (41%), engagement in communication (35%) and a smile (32%). Clothes (32%) and well-groomed skin (30%) follow, while expensive accessories (watches and bags) are noticed by only 9%.
Russians are convinced that confidence is control over the situation (55%), attractive appearance (54%) and good physical well—being (49%).
According to the results of a survey conducted by the Renaissance Insurance group, which was reviewed by Izvestia on March 6, a third of Russians increased their spending on shopping in 2025. At the same time, the respondents said that they began to think more often about budget planning.
