New regions are joining the development of Russia's tourism infrastructure. This was announced on July 10 by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.

"Our new regions are also joining the development of the tourism infrastructure. We have a large investment project in Zaporizhia, which is part of the federal project "Five Seas and Lake Baikal," Chernyshenko said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He also added that as of the beginning of summer 2025, tourism growth across the country was 6%, and in Siberia — 14%.

On June 30, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin announced that specialists were already developing the construction documentation for a new tourist city in the Zaporizhia region. According to him, the length of the coastline has already been determined, the necessary amount of communications, roads, and engineering infrastructure has been calculated.
