"There are a number of activists who believe that it will replace standard money, someone is confusing crypto and digital money, and most importantly: there is serious confidence that [US President Donald] Trump — it doesn't matter if he changes the leadership in the financial reserve — in general, he will break through the financial reserve, and the rate will be near zero, as under [former US President Barack] Obama," the economist said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

According to the expert, it is difficult, but possible, and there is every chance that the American leader will do it in 2026. In this case, the cryptocurrency exchange rate will fly up, and the stock markets too, and there will be a lot more money in the economy, he believes.

"In addition, he has an ironclad argument for Americans and voters: by zeroing out the rate, he zeroes out debt payments. No matter how much you multiply by zero, you will still get zero," Razuvaev said.

The economist added that there is no limit to bitcoin's growth. But it is a speculative and high-risk asset, he noted, adding that he himself is a proponent of investing money in Russian stocks, bonds, and so on.
