Gutsul agreed to head the list of the "Victory" bloc in the elections in Moldova

The head of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, has agreed to head the list of candidates of the opposition bloc Pobeda in the parliamentary elections in Moldova. She told reporters about this on July 10.

Gutsul noted that she had been through a lot in the last two years, and none of the Moldovan politicians had "experienced this in 30 years."

"I will try to justify the trust of our team. <...> I will accept the offer," stressed the head of the Gagauz Autonomy.

She added that, observing the attacks on other opposition politicians, she does not rule out attempts by Chisinau to prevent the participation of the Victory bloc in the elections.

The head of Gagauzia may be dismissed from office.

On July 6, the leader of Pobeda, Ilan Shor, announced the bloc's intention to apply for participation in the parliamentary elections in Moldova. He clarified that the list of candidates of the bloc should be headed by Hutsul, and stressed that the current Moldovan government would attempt to exclude Pobeda from participation.
