The expert noted the role of the EU and the UK in the protests in Serbia
The internal causes of the protests in Serbia prevail. However, there are also elements of external interference. This was stated by Milan Lazovich, Program Manager of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), at the Izvestia press center on July 10 during the RIAC round table on the topic: "Political turbulence in Serbia: what will the protests lead to in the country?"
"The elements of external interference are that someone is financing it. Of course, the first suspicion falls on the EU as a whole and individual countries. They have openly stated that they are working on "democracy" in individual countries. The role of Great Britain is also highlighted," Lazovich said.
On July 4, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called on student protesters and opposition supporters to abandon plans to lay siege to several cities, including Belgrade, warning that otherwise the authorities would be forced to take counter measures.
