Two more children returned to Russia from the territory of Ukraine
With the mediation of Qatar, two more children from the territory of Ukraine were returned to Russia. Maria Lvova-Belova, the Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights, told reporters on July 10.
According to her, the Russian side continues to work on reuniting children with their relatives, as instructed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"This time, two daughters came from Ukraine to Russia to visit their mother with our assistance," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
On May 19, Lvova-Belova helped a girl from Ukraine to reunite with her mother in Russia. It was noted that the girl and her older sister lived in Ukraine, and her mother went to Russia for personal reasons. In 2023, the father and his daughters moved to Odessa, and in 2024 he died. After that, the 17-year-old girl wanted to reunite with her mother.
