The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the UN to abandon propaganda and bias
United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is replicating Kiev's lies and almost recklessly supporting the criminal regime in Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry on July 10.
"Guterres and his subordinates regularly pick up and replicate the lies fabricated by the Kiev regime and Western capitals and aimed at discrediting Russia," the publication says.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that the UN Secretary General demonstrates "political bias and short-sightedness," which are manifested in support of the Kiev regime. At the same time, the international organization also does not pay attention to violations of humanitarian law by Ukraine. Sometimes the UN simply restricts itself to appeals to both sides for restraint.
In turn, the Russian Federation, when conducting a special military operation, takes all necessary measures to comply with international legal norms. The Russian military only strikes military targets using precision weapons. The Kiev regime systematically attacks civilians and infrastructure, thereby confirming its terrorist nature.
Earlier, on May 6, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the UN secretariat could hardly be considered an honest broker in the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. According to her, the organization's representatives did not comment on "any atrocities," even those that were proven by the Kiev regime.
