Schoolchildren participating in the Overclocking Cosmos project from Innopraktika will try to set up a scientific experiment that can completely change the diet of astronauts. The guys from Nizhny Novgorod will be working on the invention for several weeks.

Each of the team members has their own interests: physics, chemistry, robotics, high-tech. They are united by their common love of science.

"It became interesting for me to participate in this in order to create a related product that has never existed," said Ksenia Levanova, who has won dozens of biology and ecology Olympiads.

To assemble the satellite and balloon, a team of schoolchildren listened to university lectures, learned how to solder and program. In addition to technical skills, participants also learn teamwork and the ability to assign roles.

"The main task [of the experiment] is to test how cottage cheese will behave in near—Earth space. Since there is quite low pressure and low temperature," said the mentor of the Nizhny Novgorod team in the Overclocking Cosmos project, a student at Nizhny Novgorod State University. As noted by the host of the reality show "Acceleration of Space", cosmonaut candidate Yana Minyailo, the research of the guys will be a big breakthrough if it is possible to prove the possibility of delivering dairy products into space.

Innopraktika has many other overclocking projects. In addition to Cosmos, hundreds of students and schoolchildren from 45 regions — all from the "Movement of the First" – have already become participants in the crackdown on Constellation, Folklore, Career, and Agro.

Overclocking came from the idea that we need to give children a sense of being needed by the country, in demand, that we have a really cool education, that this education can be implemented in practice," explained Natalia Popova, First Deputy General Director of Innopraktika.
