The Interior Ministry named the only reason for a personal call from a police officer to a citizen.

A police officer can personally call a citizen only for an invitation to the department. This was announced on July 10 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"The only time a police officer can call is when they need to be invited to the unit. Everything else — threats, intimidation — are clear signs of fraudsters," said Wolf in a video message posted on her Telegram channel.

She noted that intruders need human stress. The wolf does not communicate with such people and immediately hangs up the phone.

The attackers began to bypass two-factor authentication.

Earlier, on July 2, the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia said that fraudsters began to pose as employees of military enlistment offices in order to extort authorization codes for the Gosuslug portal from citizens. The attackers enter into a dialogue with the victim under the pretext of issuing an attached certificate or clarifying the data.
