The criminal case on the sale of tickets for fictitious excursions in Novosibirsk has been completed

A criminal case has been completed in Novosibirsk into the sale of tickets for fictitious excursions within the framework of the Pushkin Map program. This was announced on July 10 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"The sale of tickets for fictitious excursions <...> turned into criminal prosecution and seizure of property for three scammers from Novosibirsk," she wrote on her Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, in 2022, three residents of Novosibirsk announced fictitious excursion programs worth about 4 thousand rubles. Tickets were purchased through the Pushkin Card program.

"In a similar way, the suspects stole almost 22.5 million rubles. In addition, the defendants carried out a number of financial transactions and other transactions to legalize criminal proceeds," Volk said.

Employees of the General Directorate of Economic Security and Anti-Corruption (GUEBiPK) The Russian Interior Ministry in the Novosibirsk region detained the scammers and opened a criminal case in accordance with Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud").

As a result of the trial, a preventive measure was chosen against the criminals in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior, as well as confiscation of property.

Earlier, on May 16, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the FSB uncovered a scam with "Pushkin cards" worth over 30 million rubles. According to the investigation, the former head of the department of one of the Ryazan museums organized through intermediaries the sale of tickets on behalf of the holders of "Pushkin cards" and ensured their fictitious cancellation at the entrance to the institution.
