After the assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump, six employees of the United States Secret Service were suspended from work. This was reported on July 10 by ABC.

"Six agents of the US Secret Service were suspended for omissions related to last year's attempt on the life of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania," the channel reports, citing an official representative of the department.

It is reported that the personnel changes in the organization were confirmed almost on the anniversary of the assassination attempt that took place on July 13 a year earlier.

In 2024, Trump survived two assassination attempts. The first occurred on July 13 at an election rally in Pennsylvania. The politician was wounded in the ear at a tangent. The second attempt was made on September 15: there was a shooting at a golf club in West Palm Beach. Trump was 500 m away from the scene. The perpetrators were detained in both cases.
