A blogger who keeps a lion in a barn told about the future of the animal.

The lion cub, who lived in blogger Amirkhan Magomedov's barn, was confiscated in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation on the prohibition of keeping certain wild animals and placed in a specialized institution. The former owner of the animal told about it on July 10 in an interview with Izvestia.

"The lion has been temporarily placed in the Parus Zoo for temporary maintenance," the blogger said.

The animal is currently in quarantine. The lion will be under the supervision of specialists for two weeks, after which it will be taken to the Tyumen Zoo.

According to Magomedov, he was able to visit the pet after the confiscation. During the transportation of the lion to the zoo, the man himself transferred it to a cage from a carrier.

On May 13, lawyer Sean Betrozov warned about the responsibility for keeping a number of wild animals. According to art. 8.52 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation, citizens can receive a fine from 1.5 thousand to 3 thousand rubles, officials — from 5 thousand to 15 thousand rubles, legal entities — from 15 thousand to 30 thousand rubles.
