- Italian scientists have announced the discovery of an underground city under the pyramids at Giza.
A group of Egyptologists from Italy has announced the discovery of a hidden underground city located under the Egyptian pyramids at Giza. This was reported on July 9 by the Daily Mail newspaper.
"Italian researchers, who made a splash earlier this year with their claims about huge structures hidden under the pyramid of Chephren, now say they have discovered a colossal vertical shaft leading to the Sphinx and two chambers beneath it," the publication says.
The research results were presented at the Cosmic Summit - 2025 event in North Carolina, USA. At the same time, the site is known for promoting the study of "alternative theories" about world history.
According to the scientists, their theory of the existence of an underground city is also based on the text of the ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, in chapter 149 of which there is a mention of the "14 mansions of the city of the dead."
To the south of the Egyptian capital Cairo on April 18, archaeologists found the tomb of Pharaoh Userkaf's son, Prince Userefra, as well as a statue of Pharaoh Djoser moved to it. It is specified that the discovered archaeological site contains many hieroglyphic inscriptions.
On February 26, Egyptian archaeologists completed work on the territory of the "golden city", which is located near Luxor. During the excavations, experts discovered an ancient complex for processing gold ores. The age of the find is about 3 thousand years. Scientists have also discovered an area where gold miners once lived.
