Polish President Andrzej Sebastian Duda has threatened Ukraine and its NATO allies to close the airport in Rzeszow, through which 95% of military aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine passes. The politician stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel Nowyhead on July 9.

"Both the Ukrainians and our allies simply believe that the airport in Rzeszow and our highways belong to them, I'm sorry, as if they belong to them. But no, they are ours. <...> We are closing the airport in Rzeszow and deliver it to Ukraine by sea, by air, I don't know, drop it by parachutes, however you want," Duda said resentfully.

The reaction of the Polish president is justified by the fact that, without the knowledge of the NATO member countries, they decided to supply military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The politician's words were reinforced by the fact that Poland's interests are not taken into account during discussions at NATO summits.

"We are not invited to very important international bodies where the issue of aid supplies through our territory is being resolved. <...> And at some point I frankly admit that in this aspect I blocked the final statement of the NATO summit in Vilnius. <...> We cannot be ignored, because we are a transit country for them and we have the right to our expectations," Duda stressed.

Earlier, on July 4, Mysl Polska (MP) reported that the Polish authorities, obeying the laws of the European Union (EU) and NATO, are ruining their economy and industry. The article argues that blind faith in the truth of the words of the EU and NATO hinders the realization of Poland's national and political interests. The publication accuses the alliances of promoting ideas that do not reflect the true situation in the world.
