A new type of sewage treatment plant has been developed in the Russian Federation

Russian inventor Vladimir Gorbashov, with the support of the National Technology Initiative, has patented a new type of sewage treatment plant. It consumes less energy and works more efficiently, since the liquid after such purification completely gets rid of all microflora, including unpleasant odors and bacteria. Such water can be drunk without health concerns.

At the same time, the system itself is intended for use at various facilities of the agro-industrial complex: in particular, pig farming, animal husbandry, poultry farming and other enterprises that produce manure.

"The system operates on an electrohydraulic effect, when a high-voltage electric discharge in a liquid creates high pressure and shock waves. The equipment used is completely sealed, there are almost no moving parts in it," the developer added.

The project is of interest because new approaches to wastewater treatment and municipal waste disposal in the context of increasing environmental requirements are very relevant, said Sergey Kosogor, head of the Smart Supply Chain segment of the NTI Fudnet working Group.
