The central water supply broke twice in the Kaluga region, the governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha announced on July 9.

"The water main breakthrough was eliminated in the afternoon, but when the system was filled with water, a new breakthrough occurred," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

It is specified that operational work has begun to eliminate the repeated problem.

"I have instructed the Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Alexander Shpirenko, to personally monitor the progress of restoration so that water appears in residential buildings in the coming hours," said the governor of the Kaluga Region.

Earlier, on May 12, Pavel Andreev Street in Moscow was flooded with boiling water due to a pipe break. It is specified that the staff of the emergency service and the Ministry of Emergency Situations controlled the movement and did not let pedestrians near the place of the communal accident.
