Russia plans to open 30 GLONASS stations in 16 countries. This was announced on July 9 by the Roscosmos State Corporation in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that one of the stations has already been opened in Venezuela, and the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Bakanov, took part in this event. According to the press service of the state corporation, this will simplify navigation of land, sea and air transport. In addition, it will be possible to determine the location of vehicles in emergency situations, and flight safety will increase.

The system can also be used for geodetic surveys, precision farming, control of oil and industrial facilities, and exploration of natural resources and outer space.

"In total, it is planned to open 30 such stations in 16 countries," the state corporation's publication says.

On the same day, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced that the government would allocate 4 trillion rubles until 2036 under a national project to support the competitiveness of Roscosmos. The Prime Minister also instructed to increase the economic efficiency of enterprises in the space industry.
