Tuition on a fee-based basis at Yale University (an organization whose activities are considered undesirable in the territory of the Russian Federation) and the dissemination of information about the university may face administrative or criminal penalties. Anatoly Vyborny, deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Security, told about this on July 9.

According to him, after the organization is declared undesirable in the territory of the Russian Federation, a number of serious restrictions are imposed on it.

"These include a ban on the creation of structural divisions in Russia and the termination of previously opened ones, on the distribution of information materials published by the organization, on transactions with funds and other property," Vyborny told RIA Novosti.

As the deputy head of the State Duma committee noted, one should also not take part in any activity of the organization. For example, in raising funds, providing or rendering services in order to ensure their work. This may result in both administrative and criminal liability.

Earlier, on July 8, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation recognized Yale University from the United States as an undesirable organization in Russia. It was clarified that the activities of the educational institution are aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, as well as destabilizing the socio-economic and political situation in the country. In addition, there is a School of International Relations at the university, which actually trains opposition leaders of foreign countries.
