Starting from August 1, the United States intends to impose duties on imports from Algeria, Libya and Iraq. This was announced on July 9 by President Donald Trump.

According to Trump's letters published on the Truth Social network, the United States has been imposing import duties of 30% on all goods from these countries since August 1.

In addition, the import duty rate for goods from Moldova and Brunei will be 25%.

On July 8, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant announced the possibility of receiving more than $300 billion from import duties. According to Bessent, by now Washington has already received about $100 billion due to the levied duties.
