The second meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the International Forum "Russian Energy Week" was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak. The meeting was attended by representatives of federal authorities, energy companies, industry communities and the organizers of the Forum.

Alexander Novak opened the meeting, noting that there are three months left before the start of the REN-2025, and stressed the importance of intensifying the invitation campaign and filling out the business program. "REN-2025 will become a key platform for discussing topical energy issues, demonstrating technological achievements and strengthening international cooperation. This year we will pay special attention to the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry and the integration of energy sovereignty issues," the Deputy Prime Minister said.

"The main strategic theme of the business program of the Russian Energy Week this year will be "Creating the energy of the future together." Preparations for the Forum are proceeding normally. Special attention this year will be paid to the exhibition of equipment and technologies at the Gostiny Dvor site, which will be held for the second time and will demonstrate the latest achievements of the domestic fuel and energy complex. In addition, the Organizing Committee is actively working to attract foreign participants, especially from Asia, Africa and the Arab world," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Russian Academy of Sciences Organizing Committee.

Within the framework of the REN-2025, in parallel with the demonstration of the stands of the key partners of the forum, a specialized exhibition will again be organized at the Gostiny Dvor Central Exhibition Hall. The exposition will be focused on engineering, technical and scientific experts. The exhibition is applied in nature and is designed to demonstrate Russia's technological sovereignty, as well as the industry's achievements in the field of import substitution and innovative development of the country in the context of the energy strategy 2050.

Pavel Sorokin, First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, spoke about the REN-2025 business program. He said that this year the program will retain its content, diversity and intensity. "As part of the business program, it is planned to hold 34 discussion events, which will cover four thematic tracks: "International cooperation: joining forces", "Sustainable development: adaptation to a new reality", "Technology as a key driver of energy" and "Fuel and Energy Complex of Russia: development strategy”. In addition, the program includes business breakfasts, a separate format for discussing important issues in an informal setting. The IV Scientific and Practical Conference "Territory of Energy Dialogue" will also be held on the sidelines of the Exhibition this year," the Deputy Minister noted.

The head of the Moscow Department of Housing and Communal Services, Rais Chiglikov, confirmed the city's readiness to host the Forum. "Moscow traditionally provides platforms for REN and provides organizational support. This year, we will also ensure the infrastructure and safety of the participants," he said.

Alexander Pankin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, announced plans to attract foreign speakers and organize international events on the sidelines of the Forum. "REN-2025 will become a platform for dialogue with partners from friendly countries, including discussion of joint projects in the energy sector," he added.

Artem Korolev, Director of the Reliable Change Foundation, announced the program of the REN Youth Day, which will be held on October 17. "At the moment, we have already prepared 15 events – these are traditional events with a preliminary selection, that is, some events in the format of championships and other competitive educational formats, which have already begun and, accordingly, the finals will be held directly on the site of the REN Youth Day-2025. In total, we plan to hold at least 30 events where young specialists will be able to present their projects, communicate with company executives and take part in discussions about the future of energy," he said.

REN-2025 will be held from October 15 to 17 in Moscow. The Forum will traditionally bring together representatives of government, business, science, and the expert community to discuss global trends and challenges in the energy industry.

In 2024, as part of the business program of the Forum, the Exhibition and the REN Youth Day, over 100 events were held with the participation of more than 350 speakers. In total, over 5,300 delegates from 81 countries and territories took part in the Russian Energy Week, more than 5,500 people visited the Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies for the Fuel and Energy Complex. 28 agreements and memorandums of cooperation were signed at the Forum. More than 2,200 participants took part in the Youth Day events, presenting dozens of projects and industry initiatives.

The REN is supported by the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of Russia and the Government of Moscow. The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
