The Yemeni Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack on the cargo ship Eternity C
The Yemeni Ansar Allah movement claimed responsibility for the attack on the Greek cargo ship Eternity C in the Red Sea. This was announced on July 9 by Yahya Saria, a representative of the group.
"The forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces attacked the ship (Eternity C), heading to the port of Umm al-Rashrash," Saria wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to him, the strike was carried out with the help of an unmanned boat and six cruise and ballistic missiles. He also added that the ship was attacked because it ignored the ban on activities in the port of Umm al-Rashrash, which is located in Palestine.
Earlier in the day, Reuters reported that the Greek cargo ship Eternity C sank in the Red Sea as a result of an attack by the Yemeni Houthis. According to the agency's source, the ship's crew was in the water at the time and measures were being taken to rescue it.
