The head of a communal institution was detained in Dagestan after poisoning people

In Dagestan, the director of a municipal institution in the Magaramkentsky district was detained after mass poisoning of residents of the district with water. This was reported on July 9 in the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic.

"The director of a municipal institution in the Magaramkent district has been detained on suspicion of providing services that do not meet consumer safety requirements," the department's Telegram channel says.

It is noted that a sanitary and epidemiological examination and searches have also been ordered as part of the case to determine the causes of the incident. At the same time, in relation to the suspect, the investigation should apply to the court with a petition for the election of a preventive measure.

Mass poisoning in Dagestan: more than 100 people went to the hospital

Among the victims are children under 14 years of age.

The day before, 110 people with symptoms of intestinal infection applied to the Central District Hospital of the Magaramkentsky district of Dagestan. On the same day, it was reported that most of the victims of the infection were children. It was established that the victims drank water supplied to their homes through water supply lines. A criminal case has also been opened into the incident.
