US President Donald Trump is tired of the "aggressive and reckless" actions of the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This was reported by the Wall Street Journal on July 9, citing sources.

"Trump told aides that he did not like the aggressive and sometimes reckless tactics of DOGE," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, some officials expressed concern about the loyalty of DOGE employees who had previously transferred from the Office of General Services to other federal structures, especially if they continue to maintain ties with American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk. As a result, the White House allegedly gave agency heads more authority to control the actions of these employees.

WSJ sources familiar with the situation also said that the Trump administration began to "closely monitor the activities of DOGE." In particular, we are talking about reducing contracts initiated by department officials, and in some cases, direct intervention to cancel them.

Trump said at a press conference on July 1 that he did not rule out the possibility of deporting Musk from the United States. According to him, a lot of subsidies were allocated to Musk.

Before that, Trump called on DOGE to check subsidies for Musk on Tesla electric vehicles. Trump added that Musk had always been aware of his position on subsidizing electric vehicles — there was no need to force everyone to choose just such cars.
