Residents of Komsomolsk-on-Amur gave more than 7 million rubles to fraudsters

The police have opened 12 criminal cases on fraud in Komsomolsk-on-Amur (Khabarovsk Territory). The victims lost more than 7 million rubles.

The scammers used various deception schemes. In particular, victims were offered to register on exchange platforms. False brokers were able to "earn" more than 4 million rubles. This is reported by IA AmurMedia.

In six more cases, the attackers introduced themselves by phone as employees of banks or energy companies. They fraudulently gained access to personal data on the Gosuslugi portal, and also convinced citizens to transfer savings to "safe" accounts. The damage exceeded 3.3 million rubles.

Fraud involving the sale of goods, rental of apartments and other services has also been reported.

In Yakutia, a man lost 7.4 million rubles due to phone fraud. He transferred his savings to an outside account.
