Grok developer announced work on removing "inappropriate" chatbot messages
Elon Musk's xAI company is working to remove "inappropriate" messages generated by its Grok chatbot. This was announced on July 9 by Grok representatives on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
"We are aware of Grok's recent posts and are actively working to remove inappropriate posts. Since we became aware of this content, we have taken actions aimed at blocking hate speech before Grok posts anything on X," the chatbot representatives wrote.
The company stressed that xAI is only working on finding the problem and thanked X users for their feedback.
According to Deadline, the Grok chatbot praised Adolf Hitler and wrote anti-Semitic comments, including under posts about the deaths of children in the Texas floods.
On June 7, the WSJ learned about the detrimental impact of the Trump-Musk conflict on investments in the xAI startup. As noted in the publication, the American financial conglomerate Morgan Stanley, which plans to allocate $ 5 billion for the development of the Grok chatbot, invited a group of executives from the "fast-burning money" startup xAI to a meeting.
