Europe's security cannot be achieved without Russia's participation, and attempts to circumvent this are doomed to failure. This was stated on July 9 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at a briefing.

According to her, neither manipulating the fear of the population, nor weapons programs, nor an expensive and senseless confrontation with the Russian Federation will help in ensuring Europe's security. All these actions will only lead to destabilization and increased tension.

"Europe's security cannot be ensured without Russia's participation. <...> And attempts to act around or against the interests of our country are doomed to failure, and will ricochet against those who originated this logic," Zakharova stressed.

Earlier, on July 8, Czech President Petr Pavel allowed the restoration of cooperation between Russia and Europe. According to him, this will be possible after the end of the conflict in Ukraine. He believes that only then will Europe be able to return to issues with Russia about security and cooperation with businesses that were conducted before.
