Attacked by the Houthis in the Red Sea, the Eternity C cargo ship sank
The Greek cargo ship Eternity C sank in the Red Sea as a result of an attack by the Yemeni Houthis. This was reported on July 9 by the Reuters news agency, citing sources in the field of maritime security.
"The next Liberian—flagged Greek cargo ship, Eternity C, sank after a Houthi attack off Yemen," the report said.
The ship's crew is in the water, and measures are being taken to rescue them. So far, at least five people have been pulled out, two agency sources said.
The Eternity C vessel was attacked by Houthi drones and boats a day earlier. As a result of the attack, three people were killed and found dead in the engine room. Two others were injured, including one Russian who had to have a limb amputated.
