The State Duma proposed to pay pension allowances to Russians from the age of 70
The State Duma has proposed a bill providing for the payment of a pension supplement from the age of 70. This is evidenced by the explanatory note to the document on July 9.
"It is proposed to establish an increase in the fixed payment to the old—age insurance pension differentially depending on age, namely: for those who have reached the age of 70 — by 100%, for those who have reached the age of 80 or are disabled in group I — by 200%, for those who have reached the age of 90 — by 300%," follows from the text available in the at the disposal of TASS.
According to the explanatory note, it is also proposed for the disabled of group I to establish an increase in the fixed payment to the insurance pension in the amount of 200%.
Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy, clarified that the idea of the bill arose during the reception of citizens. He noted that a pensioner from Lugansk, who had been working in a dangerous industry for many years, had spoken about a similar problem.
Nilov recalled that since January 1, the amount of the payment amounted to 8,907.7 rubles. According to the deputy, the current age of 80 and the size of the allowance do not give a significant part of elderly Russians the opportunity to realize the right to receive an increased fixed payment to an old-age insurance pension.
Earlier, on June 20, Chairman of the Social Fund of Russia Sergey Chirkov announced an increase in pensions for working pensioners. According to him, after leaving work, payments will be equal to those provided for non-working pensioners. He also reported on the preparation of innovations in the field of regional social pension supplements.
