The campaign "Moscow helps" continues in Moscow as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project. Residents of the capital handed over more than 4,6 thousand items to the "Houses of Kindness" for participants of the special military operation (SVO), children from new regions and animals in shelters. This was reported on July 9 on the city portal of the capital. mos.ru .

"With love and care, they choose toys and books for children, necessary things for their participants. Citizens inspire their relatives, children, colleagues and friends by their example. They regularly bring help together, write kind words on postcards. The volunteers carefully pack all the goods that will be delivered to the recipients," said Alexander Levit, director of the Mosvolonter resource center.

Most of the gifts were collected for children living in new regions — about 2 thousand. Muscovites bring stationery, books, toys, board games and sweets. Citizens give personal hygiene products, as well as socks and insoles to their participants. Dry and wet food, cereals, cleaning products, and absorbent diapers are collected for animals in shelters.

It is noted that only new items are accepted, packaged, with tags and a specified shelf life.

Earlier, on April 17, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about the help of volunteers in organizing events for Victory Day. He noted that as part of the "Thank you to the Hero" campaign, volunteers helped those who wished to sign greeting cards for veterans and participants of their military operations.
