- The attack aircraft of the Vostok group told about the storming of the village of Poddubnoye in the DPR
The attack aircraft of the 36th brigade of the 29th army of the Vostok group of forces told the details of the assault on the village of Poddubnoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The relevant footage is published by Izvestia on July 8.
"The fifth settlement came under our control in just over a week of continuous assault. The soldiers from Transbaikalia, the 36th brigade of the 29th army, have gained momentum and are not stopping, they are moving forward. The last one is occupied by the village of Poddubnoye," said correspondent Alexander Safiulin.
During the performance of the combat mission, the servicemen worked in doubles. Dividing into several dozen small detachments, they were able to take the enemy by surprise.
"We came in twos from different directions. Not like ants walking in a single line, but a village— there's a two, there's a two, there's a two. The effect of surprise is ten comes in, but it seems like fifty," recalls one of the fighters.
After being caught in the crossfire, the enemy forces began to retreat. In the course of the most effective advance, the Russian fighters used a military trick that allowed them to take the enemy position without firing a single shot.
"We just crept up to the basement and shouted at them: "Muscovites, surrender!" They thought that we were their allies, and shouted — don't, don't, we're our own, don't shoot," said a soldier with the call sign Loop.
Rifles, grenade launchers and other weapons manufactured by NATO countries were found in positions abandoned by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
The liberation of the village of Poddubnoye in the DPR and Sobolevka in the Kharkiv region was reported on July 6. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit in Voskresenka, Poltava, Malinovka, Zaporizhia region, Novopol and Karl Marx in the DPR.
