Air defense systems shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying towards Moscow. This was announced on July 9 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in the Telegram channel.

"The air defense Ministry shot down a drone flying to Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site," he said.
