In France, the lower house of parliament (the National Assembly) has passed a bill introducing relief measures in the field of agricultural regulation in the country. This was announced on July 8 by Terre de Liens.

"The bill aimed at lifting restrictions on farmers, co-sponsored by the now infamous Republican Senator Laurent Duplomb, completes its parliamentary saga with the final adoption of the text in the national Assembly," the publication says.

316 parliamentarians supported the adoption of the document. 223 voted against it.

It is noted that, according to the bill, farmers will again be allowed to use acetamiprid, an insect control substance that has been found toxic to humans. It is also planned to assist entrepreneurs in organizing large livestock farms and similar projects.

On December 11, protesting farmers drove tractors to the Parliament building in London. At that time, it was reported that hundreds of farmers protested in connection with dissatisfaction with the changes in inheritance tax. A 20% tax on inheritance of agricultural land worth more than 1 million pounds was announced by the government of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer after coming to power.

On November 17, farmers from Wales also organized a mass protest against Starmer's policy. The rally was held in the city of Llandudno in north Wales near the building where the Labour Party conferences are held.
