An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred in southern Guatemala. This was announced on July 9 by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
It is specified that the epicenter of the seismic event was located near the city of Amatitlan. The hearth was located at a depth of 10 km.
There was no information about casualties, damage, or the threat of a tsunami.
