"Gynecomastia is more often an aesthetic defect that does not suit patients, because it hides the so—called masculinizing contour, the masculine contour of the chest, since sometimes the size of true gynecomastia can reach the average size of the mammary glands of women," the doctor said in an interview with IA RuNews24.ru .

Karapetyan added that men who have hormonal problems suffer from gynecomastia more often. The cause of the disease may be the uncontrolled use of hormonal drugs, for example, during various sports training and exercise.

"As soon as the increased volume of the mammary glands is formed, only surgical treatment is necessary. False gynecomastia or lipomastia is associated with hypertrophy of the fatty tissue in the mammary glands.
