The Nobel Prize of US President Donald Trump will depend on his successful policy on the Ukrainian issue and in the Middle East, but so far the chances of an award are low. This opinion was expressed by American political scientist Malek Dudakov on Tuesday, July 8.

According to the expert, it is important for the American leader to receive the prize as part of his rivalry with former US President Barack Obama, and pressure is being exerted on the Nobel Committee.

"In my opinion, it would be important for Trump to receive the Nobel Prize. Trump loves such honorable stories, prestigious awards. Moreover, Trump has an open gestalt in the framework of long—standing competition with Barack Obama, which has been going on since the 1980s," Dudakov said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The political scientist added that Trump has already been nominated for the award several times. But this year there are a lot of people and organizations on the list of applicants. In addition, the Nobel Committee has a rather negative attitude towards the American president, so his chances of receiving the award are not too high yet.

"A lot will depend on how his policy will continue both in the Ukrainian direction and in the Middle East. If there are any serious successes, then it cannot be ruled out that he will receive this award in some form," Dudakov concluded.

Earlier, on July 7, Netanyahu announced the nomination of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize during a meeting with the American leader at the White House. 360.ru . Netanyahu noted that this is a "well-deserved" honor for Trump, RT reports. In turn, the American leader noted that the nomination was news to him, writes RIAMO.
