An elderly motorist was killed in a collision with a moose in the Verkhneuralsky district of the Chelyabinsk region. The regional State Traffic Inspectorate reports this in its Telegram channel.

The accident occurred on Tuesday morning, July 8, on the 131st km of the Chebarkul–Uyskoye–Surmenevsky–Magnitogorsk road. It was previously established that the 69-year-old Lada Granta driver did not choose a safe speed and hit a moose.

The impact sent the car flying off the roadway and overturned. As a result of the accident, the motorist was injured, from which he died at the scene. A wild animal also died, writes the news agency " <url>".
