Mishustin announced the effectiveness of the national drone project

The Russian national project on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is showing its high efficiency. This was announced on July 8 by the country's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"Almost all priority areas of industrial development have been included in new national projects to ensure technological leadership. One of them is an unmanned aircraft system, which shows its high efficiency," Mishustin said.

According to him, the production of this equipment has already exceeded the planned volume by three times. He added that such results were due, among other things, to government assistance to enterprises in this industry.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev announced on July 6 that Russia would have a separate Class H airspace for UAVs. He also noted that the production of civilian drones in the Russian Federation has increased by more than 2.5 times over the past year compared to 2023.
