- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Russian Federation has sufficient experience in countering European sanctions
Russia has been able to accumulate sufficient experience to withstand Western sanctions pressure. This was announced on July 8 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.
"What else can they come up with? It's hard to say. But we know that they have a lot of imagination about sanctions. But we have already accumulated sufficient experience in how to resist sanctions pressure, both in terms of ensuring the interests of our social development and economy, and in terms of introducing counter-sanctions," TASS quoted the diplomat as saying.
Grushko recalled that the toughest sanction imposed by the European Union (EU) was the "silence of the lambs" in connection with the Nord Stream explosions.
Earlier in the day, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted the development of all sectors of the Russian economy in the face of sanctions. According to him, the sanctions against Russia only affected the states that imposed them and led to a reduction in industrial production in these countries.
