Kazakhstan has sent proposals to the United States to improve the terms of trade
Kazakhstan has sent proposals and initiatives to the White House administration to improve the terms of mutual trade. This was announced on July 8 by the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan on the official website of the department.
"Kazakhstan's goal is to achieve agreed solutions on market access and terms of trade. Currently, the American side is considering the Kazakh proposals and will soon inform about the date of the negotiations," the publication says.
The new proposals are related to the statement by US President Donald Trump on July 7 on the introduction of new duties against some countries, including Kazakhstan.
Currently, for products exported from Kazakhstan to the United States, a single rate of 25% has been set for the entire volume of supplies.
On July 8, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan announced the preparation of an official response to the US imposition of a 25% duty on all goods.
