US President Donald Trump has promised his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky to send 10 interceptor missiles for the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM). This was reported on July 8 by Axios, citing sources.

"Two sources reported that Trump promised to immediately send 10 Patriot interceptors, fewer than planned in the suspended delivery," the material says.

In addition, the American leader also promised to help find other ways to supply weapons to Ukraine.

The publication also noted that Trump had spoken with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz the day before. The German leader asked Trump to "unfreeze" the supply of Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine, she added "Газета.Ru ".

Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the West's actions with the supply of weapons to Ukraine are not conducive to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. According to him, the line that the Europeans have chosen is aimed at contributing in every possible way to the continuation of hostilities.

The day before, Trump announced new arms supplies for Ukraine during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House. The American leader noted that the weapons will be supplied for the defense of Ukraine.
