Russia and the United States have a wide potential to restart bilateral relations. This was announced on July 8 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He stressed that the list of unfriendly countries, which still includes the United States, can be reviewed, but at the moment the list has not changed.

"We certainly appreciate the efforts of the United States and personally the President [of the United States Donald] Trump and members of his team to initiate a negotiation process, a direct negotiation process between Russia and Ukraine. And, of course, we believe that there is a wide potential for a restart between our countries," the Russian president's press secretary said at a briefing.
