Vladivostok authorities to sign new contracts for bus transportation
Vladivostok authorities have decided to cancel three-year contracts for passenger bus transportation. Their term will be significantly shorter than before.
On the public procurement website, the total amount of contracts exceeds 489 million rubles for the organization of transportation on 72 bus routes. The city Administration has launched a competition for carriers to select contractors to carry out regular transportation on routes with regulated tariffs. The new contracts will come into force from the moment of signing and will be valid until December 31, 2026.
The decision to shorten the duration of contracts in the mayor's office was explained by the current situation in the transport industry. In addition, the administration called for taking into account the fact that the lease agreements for the purchase of new buses have come to an end for the transport companies.
The Department of Transport of IA PrimaMedia noted that the three-year contracts allowed carriers to plan their work and use leasing to upgrade their fleets. Buses no more than 10 years old are now operating on all city routes.
The contracts will include several new requirements. Thus, carriers are required to strictly observe the schedule, and fines are provided for violations. Buses must not be older than 10 years old. Special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the interior and the quality of service. Each vehicle must have a cashless payment terminal, video recorders, a GLONASS system, and an auto-stop informer. Parking time at intermediate stops is no more than 90 seconds.
