Medvedev urged not to treat Trump's rhetoric on Ukraine in any way.
The rhetoric of US President Donald Trump should not be ignored and the goals of the special military operation (SVO) should continue to be added. This was announced on July 8 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.
"How should we treat this? Just like before. <...> No way," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
It is clarified that in this way Medvedev commented on Trump's statement about a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which the American leader was "disappointed" by. According to the deputy chairman of the Security Council, the statements of the President of the United States are contradictory.: At first, he is satisfied with the conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, then he is no longer. The same situation applies to military assistance to Ukraine — either Trump decides not to supply new weapons, or, on the contrary, declares that Washington will supply Kiev with "a lot of weapons."
Medvedev stressed that such statements by the US president "should not be treated in any way" and continue to "work for victory."
"Continue to achieve your goals. To return our land," concluded Medvedev.
On the evening of July 3, Putin and Trump held telephone talks. The Russian President informed his American counterpart about the implementation of humanitarian agreements between Moscow and Kiev and stressed Russia's desire to resolve the crisis through negotiations.
Trump later said that he had a long telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation. The American leader noted that he was not satisfied with the situation around Ukraine, and said that the United States would continue to help Kiev.
