Nina Kornilova, an elephant trainer and Honored Artist of Russia, died at the age of 99. This was announced on July 8 by the Bolshoi Moscow Circus.

"We regret to announce the death of Nina Andreevna Kornilova, an outstanding elephant trainer and Honored Artist of Russia. Her talent and dedication to art have left an indelible mark in the hearts of thousands of viewers and colleagues," the circus' Telegram channel says.
