On July 7, a cyclist died in the Stavropol Territory as a result of being hit by a car in the evening. This was announced on July 8 by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the region in the Telegram channel.

"A 63-year-old cyclist, a local resident, died from his injuries at the scene before the ambulance crew arrived," the department said.

It is specified that the 24-year-old driver of the Hyundai Solaris car was sober at the time of the accident. During his two years of driving experience, he was brought to administrative responsibility five times for traffic violations.

The details and circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated.

On July 5, a minor cyclist died in an accident in the Amur region. A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules of the Russian Federation, resulting in the death of a person by negligence").
