In the Chelyabinsk region, the driver of a Lada Granta car died as a result of hitting a moose. This was announced on July 8 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the region in its Telegram channel.

"On 131 km of the Chebarkul–Uyskoye–Surmenevsky–Magnitogorsk highway, the driver <...> did not choose a safe speed, ran over a wild animal (moose), then drove off the roadway to the left and overturned," the report said.

As a result of the accident, in addition to the driver, the animal also died. Traffic police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on June 10, a family from the city of Noyabrsk was injured when a car hit a moose in the Tyumen region. As a result of the accident, the driver of the car and his 15-year-old daughter were injured, and they received medical assistance.
