The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the combat operation of the Hyacinth-S self-propelled guns in the SVO zone.

The calculation of the Hyacinth-S self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces disrupted the rotation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the special military operation zone. This was announced on July 8 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"During combat duty, the Hyacinth-S crew received intelligence from the enemy that in the area of one of the duty targets, on the outskirts of Krasnoarmeysk, the enemy is trying to rotate personnel on the line of contact. Having received the target designation, the servicemen quickly moved to the gun, aimed at the specified coordinates and began firing at the enemy," the department said.

The fighters used 152-mm high-explosive fragmentation ammunition to strike. At the same time, the firing of the combat vehicle in real time was corrected by the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It is reported that as a result of the coordinated actions of the Russian army, the enemy suffered serious losses.

After receiving confirmation of the destruction of the target, the crew camouflaged the gun barrel and retreated to reserve positions. Such measures are being taken in case of a retaliatory strike against Russian troops by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"Our main task as a combat crew is to inflict fire damage, to do our job quickly, efficiently and efficiently. When shooting, there is always operational control over the terrain. And after the shot, if necessary, corrections are given," said gunner Roman Grebenets.
