Negotiations between the United States and Iran may take place next week. This was announced on July 7 by US President Donald Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, broadcast by the Associated Press (AP).

"[This meeting will take place] in the near future, possibly next week," Witkoff said at a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House.

Trump noted that the Iranian authorities offered the United States to sit down at the negotiating table after the American bombing of Iran's nuclear facilities.

"We have scheduled talks with Iran, and they want this," the American leader stressed.

Earlier in the day, during a meeting at the White House, Trump announced his intention to supply more weapons to Ukraine. It is noted that Trump's statement was made a few days after his administration ordered the suspension of new weapons supplies to Kiev.
