The "yellow" level of weather danger due to thunderstorms will be in effect in Moscow on July 8. The Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation announced this on Monday, July 7.
"The warning period is from 12:00 to 21:00 on July 8. Short—term rains and thunderstorms are expected," the Moscow City News Agency quotes the message.
Wind gusts can reach 17 m/s, writes "Moscow 24".
A similar warning will be in effect in the Moscow region until 21:00 on July 8.
Earlier that day, the Russian Hydrometeorological Center announced that the "orange" weather danger level had been extended in Moscow until July 14, RIAMO writes.
According to forecasters, during the daytime the air temperature in the capital can warm up from +30 to +35 degrees. The average daily temperature during the heat wave will exceed the climatic norm by 7-9 degrees.
